The easy to install AlarmGard® Tube Motor is concealed in the shaft assembly, making it ideal for applications with tight clearances or those that desire the clean look of a hidden operator. But don’t let the compact size fool you – the AlarmGard Tube Motor is compatible with fire doors or shutter that are up to 120 ft2. The AlarmGard logic will close the fire door or shutter in response to an alarm signal or extended loss of power. Prompt closure of the fire door or shutter is vital in the event of a fire, as the closure will act as a physical barrier that will prevent smoke and flames from migrating throughout the building. Once the alarm is cleared or power is restored, this operator automatically returns to normal operation eliminating complex, time consuming and expensive resetting procedures.

The AlarmGard Tube Motor is a UL 325 compliant and UL 864 listed motor assembly that is rated for up to 10 cycles per day.

In addition to the standard features of an AlarmGard operator, there are many options that allows you to customize your tube motor based on the needs of your application. The most impactful would be to add a battery back-up to the  control panel that will offer up to 8 hours of back-up power along with the ability to add various control options, such as 2 button or 3 button stations in a flush or surface mounted format.
