Overhead Security Gates

When you need security but don’t want to compromise visibility or air flow, roll down security gates are the perfect solution. All our metal gates are custom manufactured to your specifications and create the safety separation you desire. Safety gates keep valuables, medicines and other desirables safe from unauthorized access while still maintaining a visual appeal.

Multiple sizes, configurations and constructions help protect anywhere from a parts counter security gate to a mall storefront. Overhead rolling gates can be constructed in straight block patterns or brick patterns in various size openings and materials. Commercial security gates require little maintenance as their rugged construction and quality materials assure long security gate life. Storefront gates, counter safety gates or even metal gates used behind plate glass windows all coil above the opening in minimal headroom space for a fuller use of the opening space.

Usage

The grilles are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to five cycles per day. Dependent on curtain configuration and spring selection.

If your requirements call for increased speed (up to 24 inches per second), more than 50 cycles per day, or 300,000 cycles lifetime, consider our line of High Performance products.

Aesthetics

Chain Diverter for MGH Operators

This option moves the auxiliary chain out of the clear opening and to the side of the door – enabling free movement through the door and making a chain bag unnecessary.

Grille curtain can be mounted in a fixed frame assembly. It can be installed separately, or installed near a rolling grille curtain to complement the aesthetics. Often used in parking garages.

Powder coat finish in more than 180 colors is available on perimeter components such as the aluminum bottom bar, hoods, wall angles, tubes and fascia. This finish is not available on the grille curtain.

VISIONAIRE Open Curtain - Straight

An open curtain design with straight rows and columns. Available in 9”, 6” or 3” vertical chain spacing.

VISIONAIRE Open Curtain - Brick

An alternative open curtain design that allows air circulation and full visual access of the area being protected. Curtain is constructed with offset rows and columns that resemble traditional brick - horizontal 5/16" diameter solid aluminum rods at 2" centers. Rods supported by heavy duty aluminum links, held in staggered position by tube spacers throughout the entire curtain assembly.

VISTAGARD™ Glazed Panel

An option available for increased protection from theft of small articles through the curtain, the VistaGard is constructed of clear 12" x 3", 1/8" thick Lexan® (or equal) panels. The flame retardant poly carbonate panels are secured by bronze color molded nylon links attached to 5/16" diameter solid aluminum horizontal rods of alloy 5056 H32, creating a barrier against refuse, odors and smoke.

The 5015 grille can be upgraded to a special higher-cycle construction to last up to 100,000 cycles. For grilles requiring more more than 50 cycles per day or a 300,000-cycle lifetime, we recommend the Extreme 300 Series Grille.

Sensing Edge - Entrapment Protection Device

Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille ensuring a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance. With flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges provide maximum protection while withstanding the elements.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

SmartSync™ Wireless Safety Edge Kit & Wireless Remote Control

The Smartsync™ Safety Edge Kit is an upgrade for our existing Safety Edge. This allows for wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver, eliminating the coiling cord in the door opening. Learn more.
