Made with mineral wool insulation and a CPVC backer, the Thermiser Max - Low U Door stands out with one of the lowest U-factor ratings among most insulated doors. Through rigorous third-party testing, our door carries an impressive U-factor rating of 0.532 for the entire assembly—a rating that stands as the industry's most precise measurement of thermal performance.

Engineered for climate and sound control, the Thermiser Max - Low U Door is constructed with an insulated curtain, patented perimeter seal and thermally-broken guide. These elements work together to minimize the speed of heat transferred through the door assembly and noise mitigation.

Our Thermiser Max – Low U Door carries a Sound Transmission Rating (STC)* of 27 for the full assembly when configured with 18GA steel front slats, giving you more control over interior and exterior noise levels. Doors meet ASHRAE® 90.12, IECC® 2021 and California's Title 24 air infiltration requirements with an independently tested value of less than 0.3 CFM/ft2. Additionally, our doors can be configured to meet a maximum operational wind load of 20 PSF.

Usage

These doors are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day – that’s 50,000 cycles for the lifetime of the door.

If your requirements call for more than 20 cycles per day, high cycle construction is available.

Sensing Edge - Entrapment Protection Device

Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille ensuring a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance. With flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges provide maximum protection while withstanding the elements.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.
